After nearly a decade away from the scene Ruff Guidance welcomes back pioneering jungle/drum & bass producer DJ Aitch (Armageddon Beats Boomsha Recordings, Junglist Manifeso) with the release of his brand new "Hypnotic" album.

From the opening track "Inspiration" to the album's conclusion, "Hilly". "Hypnotic" is a 10 track magnum opus of crisp breaks, deep basslines paired with atmospheric pads and deftly used vocal samples. Offering up dubwise jungle flavours and stepping D&B breakbeats covering everything from rough and rugged break workouts to jazz tinged liquid styles.

Gentle guitar licks set to clockwork drum patterns and vocal samples critiquing the human condition open up the album on "Inspiration" closely followed by the dubby "Force".

"Luminosity" drops gorgeous strings over intricate, stepping breaks backed up by "Burning", a hectic paced slice of emotive D&B jam packed with liquid elements.

Up next "Pandoura" re-introduces those atmospheric guitar notes set to a driving breakbeat pattern while the uplifting "Defy" adds gentle piano melodies and deep bass notes to the mix.

The luscious "Dawn" delivers a satisfying blend of smoothing pads alongside crisp breaks followed by the soaring, atmospheric positivity of "Chordial".

"Vastness" displays Aitch's effective use of hypnotic synth patterns set to an uncompromising, 2-step breakbeat pattern before the album concludes with "Hilly", which expertly blends together lighter and heavier shades of Drum & Bass.

DJ Aitch's "Hypnotic" proves to be an expertly crafted selection of deep D&B that isn't afraid to push boundaries. This is a must for anyone who has a love for serious breaks and bass.
